CloudTrade’s patents cover our internally developed Gramatica software, which uses unique artificial intelligence (AI) rules with backward tracking search, to interpret, validate, and extrapolate semantic meaning from documents of any type including invoices, sales and purchase orders and advanced shipping notices.
The software is protected by lasting patents in Europe, the U.S. and Australia.
CloudTrade’s patents (System for data extraction and processing) are held exclusively by Keywordlogic Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of CloudTrade.

UBL, as ISO/IEC 19845, is the first open data format for the exchange of business documents to be ratified by two out of the three standards-setting bodies recognised by the World Trade Organisation under the Agreement on Technical Barriers to Trade.
ISO 27001 is the internationally recognised standard defining the requirements for an organisation’s Information Security Management System (ISMS). The audit and certification process ensures the availability, integrity and confidentiality of information and network systems and the accreditation covers all CloudTrades’s services, including; e-invoicing and electronic order processing services.
The accreditation process, carried out by Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance Limited (LRQA), includes a complete audit of CloudTrade’s data security policies and processes for establishing, implementing, operating, monitoring, reviewing, maintaining and improving information security and minimising risk.
Cyber Essentials requires CloudTrade to have five technical controls in place:
The five basic controls within Cyber Essentials were chosen because, when properly implemented, they will help to protect against unskilled internet-based attackers using commodity capabilities – which are freely available on the internet.

The IASME standard is risk-based and includes holistic aspects of information security such as physical security, staff awareness, data backup and now also assessment against GDPR (General Data Protection Regulations) compliance . Certification against this standard and Cyber Essentials indicates a good level of all-round information security. The IASME assessment process includes the Cyber Essentials element above.
